God’s Mysteries… Have you ever wondered; what are the mysteries of God we read about in the scriptures? How do we uncover these mysteries? How do they affect us? Look at the definition of mysteries. Remember we are speaking about spiritual things.
The definition of mysteries is “religious secrets, confided only to the initiated (to bring into practice, to teach the fundamentals) into Christ and not to ordinary people. It is a hidden or secret thing, not obvious to our own understanding. That which requires a revelation from God!”
Wow! Now think on what you just read; you might want to go back and read it again!! You are not ordinary. Do you realize that you, as a child of God, as a Christian, are not ordinary? God confides in the initiated only, which means He chooses to reveal Himself and His Kingdom secrets to those who are in Him! He chooses to reveal His secrets to you and to me… because we are special to Him — and He is in us — and we are in Him! Selah!
Now see the definition of the Kingdom of Heaven. Grab a hold of this truth!
Definition: Kingdom: royal power, kingship, dominion, rule, the right or authority to rule over a kingdom. Heaven: the seat or order of things eternal and consummately perfect; where God dwells.
Jesus had been teaching the multitudes, and afterward the disciples came and asked Him why he taught in parables. Matthew. 13:11-13, 16: “He answered and said to them, because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given. For whoever has, to him more will be given and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables because seeing they do not see and hearing they do not hear nor do they understand.” Vs. 16: “But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear.”
We, as Christians should be living the Kingdom life in all of the fullness of the meaning! And we should be continuously moving toward God in a deeper way, striving to obtain a deeper and more revelatory understanding of His Word. We need to understand the fullness of Christ Jesus and all He accomplished for us! Christ in us and we in Him. We have been given the authority, and we have been given the dominion to rule over the earth, because we are citizens of heaven and the Kingdom of God is in us!!! We rule and take dominion in all areas of our life in the spirit realm! The territory we take in the spirit realm will be accomplished in the natural realm. We are spirit beings, living in a body, in this world but not of this world! We are citizens of heaven. Think on that!
Ephesians 1:9-10: “having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth — in Him.” These scriptures tell us that God has made known the mystery of His will to us. His will is for us to receive Christ, He in us and we in Him. Fully embrace the whole, total work He accomplished on the cross. We are called to a life of devotion to Him, to concentrate on the purpose and plan God has for us and our life! I encourage you to pursue God, pursue His purpose for you and pursue the revelation of His mysteries!! Amen!
Now let us read 1 Corinthians 2:7, 9-10: Vs. 7: “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew.” Vs. 9-10: “But it is written; Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes the deep things of God.”
Speaking wisdom from God is a mystery, because the wisdom God gives is not of this world; it is not the wisdom the world goes by. The mystery is that Christ is in us and we are in Him. And because He is in us, we can see, hear, speak, smell and touch the things of the spiritual realm. Those who are not saved cannot see what we see; they cannot hear what we hear; they cannot feel or smell what we do and they certainly cannot speak what we speak! The Word says that no one can say that “Jesus is Lord” except by the Spirit; that is why the manifestation of Holy Spirit is so important in all phases of our lives. Selah!!
The manifestation of Holy Spirit, as taught in 1 Corinthians 12 and 1 Corinthians 14:1,12 (in prophecy, in tongues, in interpretation of tongues, in discerning of spirits, in working of miracles, in faith, in gifts of healings, in words of wisdom and words of knowledge) is a mystery to the world around us. I believe this is why some believers, and unbelievers as well, have so much aversion to these wonderful, powerful, God-given gifts. Because they do not fully understand spiritual things, so many try to see with their intellect; they try to figure out and reason with their minds. Others in the body of Christ are holding onto their religious and man-made traditions instead of growing up into maturity in the spiritual things of God. We all have choices to make, to move onward and upward with God and into the things of the spirit, or to remain as babies and continue to be fed on milk instead of the meat of the Word!
I encourage you today to make the decision to go and grow with God! Set yourself apart from the things of the world around you and move closer into the things of the Spirit! Ask God to reveal the mysteries of His Word to you and walk and live daily in the Kingdom of God. Your days will be filled with victory, with wonders and signs from God in abundance!!
Jeremiah 33:3: “Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you know not of.”
