“Grace, amazing grace how sweet the sound” these are the words I have been hearing, humming and speaking all day today. It is so interesting because I asked myself ~ what does “grace” sound like, the sound of grace? So, I looked up some scriptures on “grace” in the Bible.
Of course, there are volumes in the Bible on grace but I want to share this scripture in Zechariah, it is so encouraging and up lifting. As I am writing to you, I am smiling and I smile every time I think about this verse and the meaning for us, feeling so blessed!
In Zechariah 12:10a
Zechariah prophesies that the Lord will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication. The Spirit of grace is another name for the Holy Spirit. Grace means favor, acceptance, kindness, love, mercy, forgiveness. Supplication means to seek, to ask, to entreat to God or to man.
Holy Spirit, Spirit of Grace, through Christ has been poured out on us, in us and for us. He offers us His love, righteousness, forgiveness, favor, acceptance, mercy kindness….and the list goes on. All that God has, He has given to us through Christ Jesus!
Grace has a resounding message and it speaks to me! Selah!
