Be Encouraged ~ May 2016

5 wise virgins

“Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom.”  Matthew 25:1

This is the season for you, the “church” to be transitioning and shifting into more of the things of God. Moving into more supernatural and spiritual encounters and happenings, experiencing more divine appointments, moving into our destiny and God’s plan for our lives! Living by being spirit controlled rather than by your soul (mind, will, emotions). Our maturity comes from our relationship with our Father God, with Jesus the living Word and Holy Spirit our teacher, our helper, our comforter and our guide! Selah!

As I was reading again the parable of the 10 virgins, in Matthew 25:1-13; I felt impressed to look closer into the meaning of these verses. I encourage you to read these verses and see the important message Jesus was imparting to us, the importance of relationship verses religion!

The 5 Wise Virgins had sought and moved into a deeper relationship with the Lord. Those who are wise know there is a continuous source of oil, of anointing, of power, which is available to them. And they know how to obtain it through Holy Spirit! The wise have a hidden supply of oil that lights their flame with a dependence on the Lord through circumstances and unexpected demands of life. Their light shines brighter and brighter and never grows dim! The wise are expecting and ready to meet Jesus when He comes! I encourage you to be one of the  wise!

The 5 Foolish Virgins had put off seeking a deeper relationship with the Lord and depended upon others to sustain them. The foolish have only a partial commitment to the Lord and their spiritual walk. They believe in the Bible but not the Lord of the Bible!! They are complacent, make excuses and compromise the Word of God. The foolish become comfortable, lazy and replace their relationship with the Lord with the traditions of man and religion. Faith goes deeper than doctrine!

We are the vessel and are to keep in close relationship with Jesus, we are to keep our vessel, ourselves, filled and prepared. Oil signifies Holy Spirit and the deeper our relationship with Him, the more anointing and power we receive. Word is Jesus and He is a lamp to our feet and a light to our path.

Jesus said “watch”, vs. 13. I encourage you to be ever watchful, ever prepared, ever filled, for we don’t know the time or the hour when Jesus is coming back! We want to be ready for when He comes for us and go in with Him to the wedding! We don’t want to be unprepared or to hear Him say to us, “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.” A selah moment!

A Vision From God!  Not too long ago, the Lord gave me a vision in the spirit. He showed me a village settled in a pretty valley between mountains. There were no people or cars moving about on the streets, it was quiet and sedated looking. At the end of one of the streets was a beautiful, traditional looking church, all white with a large pointed steeple. Again, there was no activity or movement anywhere in or outside of the church. The Lord asked me, “Kay, what do you see?” I said, I see a quiet little village, with no activity. He said, “yes exactly, that is a picture of my church today, quite, very lazy and lethargic with not much activity.” Then I was in the middle of a huge field of tall, golden grain as far as I could see all around me. It had full buds on each stalk and ready to be harvested. He said, tell My church to wake up! wake up! as the harvest is ready to be brought in!!

Matthew 11:15 “He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
