Be Encouraged ~ April 2015

Deep Calls Unto Deep

Psalm 42:7 “Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls; all Your waves and billows have gone over me. The Lord will command His loving-kindness in the daytime. And in the night His song shall be with me – A prayer to the God of my life.”

I have been hearing this phrase a lot over the last few months ~ Deep calls unto deep!! As I meditate on this phrase my spirit is always moved and an excitement stirs within me.  I know that my Daddy is calling me to move in closer and closer to Him. I believe He is calling you too!

Our relationship with the Lord should be so intimate that we become more like Jesus each day.  Our everyday normal is doing only what Holy Spirit shows us to do and only what Holy Spirit tells us to say and to whom!! Selah!  John 16:13-15

God, our Daddy, is pouring out His Presence, pouring out His Glory and His love abundantly!! Some of you are experiencing Him in ways you haven’t experienced Him before. Some of you will experience Him in greater degrees than you have in the past! The doors are open and will remain open for us to walk through. Oh yes, it is your decision to seek Him, to move closer and to press into Him in a way you may have never done before! Your decision to walk through the doors and into the arms of the Lord!  For deep calls unto deep!!!

Rid yourself of any lingering religious spirits, let go of all the earthly encumbrances that get in the way and distract you, taking up your time. Let go of your man-made traditions, let go of your religious traditions, in fact let go of religion!!  For Christianity is not a religion, it is relationship and lifestyle. Your relationship with the Lord is not a religious act or works, you can’t earn it ~ it is a relationship which keeps on growing for eternity!

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways my ways says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thought than your thoughts.”

As Kings kids we are to live the Kingdom life on earth as it is in heaven! We have been created to live and walk and have our being in the spirit realm all of the time, 24/7. The supernatural should be our natural, in fact, I believe that many Christians today are seeking and looking for the spectacular and miss the supernatural occurrences going on around and in them daily! The Lord is speaking continuously to us and many miss hearing His small voice within, speaking and directing them on how to move, where to go what to say!! Many are missing the signs of Daddy’s love all around them, missing His messages in the sky and through nature.  Many are so busy seeking and thinking with their souls (mind, will & emotions) that they are missing the many opportunities waiting for them in the spirit realm!

Intimacy with God is found only in the realm of the spirit. When we seek a deeper relationship, a deeper spiritual dimension of God’s presence it involves longing for Him, thirsting and seeking for Him. In many of the Psalms David wrote how he sought after God, how he longed to be in His presence. David didn’t have Holy Spirit living in him like we do. But he did have an awesome relationship with God and he did experience and encounter God often, which left him hungry and thirsty for more of Him and His presence!!

Psalm 42:7 “Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls”

We can find a place of deep anointing, of deep presence and of deep intimacy with our Daddy where deep calls unto deep! Or spirit calls unto spirit. This intimacy is so pure that every part of your being is consumed by Daddy’s presence. We can enter into a deep place where we experience a beautiful communion with our Lord. There are no words for the completeness and ecstasy we encounter as His all-consuming and all-encompassing presence engulfs us in the spirit realm, spirit to Spirit.  God in us and we in Him. One in unity!  Selah!

Psalm 42:1-2 “as the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for you, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.”

To experience a deeper dimension of God’s presence, your soul must hunger and thirst for God in the same way a deer pants for the water.  Only a small percentage of believers ever really experience this kind of intimacy with God because of the price and sacrifice.

In the natural, the panting of the deer is an audible sound as it searches for the safety the waters provide when pursued by a predator. When the deer runs into the water, the predator can no longer detect its scent. In addition to finding safety from its enemies, the deer finds relief from thirst in the waters. The same is with us as we reside and dwell in the secret place and find the refuge in His presence. We are covered & hidden with His feathers, we drink in His presence and are filled! We take on God’s presence and glory and we are protected and safe! The adversary can’t find us!

As you have read through my thoughts for you this month, my prayer is that the words will linger in your heart and burn deep into your spirit.  And, as you listen you will hear the clear, distinct voice within calling you ~ for deep calls unto deep!
